V’zot Haiku

to live on a page - forever
to die on a page - many times
like Moses, like Rashi - a blessing

Having blessed his people, Moses climbs onto the Mount Nebo and sees the Promised Land in all its glory. Then “G-d’s servant Moses dies at G-d’s word” (34:5) G-d buries him in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor. Nobody knows where Moses’s grave is. Moses died when he was 120 years old but he was strong and healthy. And since nobody saw Moses die and nobody knows where his grave is he died..on page of the book.

                                              The End?
